3. TCP/IP Setting Manual

In this section, you are assumed have correctly identified the IP address for the OnlineLearning System Server. Therefore, you must produce a manual on how to configure the IP address on the server. You can use any operating system to demonstrate this task. The explanation should be supported with the screenshot and appropriate explanation.

We will be using windows 10 for example

Firstly to manually set an ip address, click the start button and search for control panel

In control panel click on Network and sharing center

Then click on Change adapter setting on the left side of the window

After you clicked on the button it will open a new window listing every network adapter that you have installed on the computer including virtual network adapter or physical ones.

For this example i will be using the adapter named Ethernet 2 (The adapter that you want to set may be different and check the adapter that you want to manually set the ip address to.)

Double clicking the adapter will open yet another window showing the status of the adapter such as connectivity, the state of the adapter, how long has it been activated, speed of the connection (speed shown is not the speed of your internet), and how much packets has been sent and received through the adapter.

Continuing on, Clicking on properties will show what type of services the adapter supports. Since we are using IPv4, click on the Internet Protocol Version 4 (TCP/IPv4) and click properties (Double clicking also achieve the same thing).

In the properties windows for the IPv4. This is where you will enter the ip address that you want to it to be. For this we will set it to values as in the picture.

Click ok and the configuration is complete.
